The morning sun was well past its peak by the time anyone stirred. Last night’s energy had left its mark—every laugh, every drink, every dance translating into heavy eyelids and lazy limbs. Abandoned heels. A faint scent of perfume mixed with cologne. Cushions tossed, jackets draped over chairs.
By the time Ruhi’s phone buzzed with Aarav’s message, “Outer patio. Brunch. Don’t keep me starving” , the girls had barely rolled out of bed.
